Dear Pre-K for All Family and Friends,

In October we experienced all the wonders of Autumn through our five senses.

We saw the changing colors of the leaves, felt the cool breezes and tasted our own homemade applesauce.  Our activities included sorting leaves, weighing pumpkins, and comparing scents and textures. Our children celebrated Halloween with our Haunted House, Spooky Dance, Story Time and Trick or Treats. Take a moment to check out your Family at our Photo Spot Display.

In November, Our children will explore these questions in our All About Us unit: What makes me important and unique? What feelings do I have and why? What makes my class important and unique? What makes my family important and unique? We will identify the people in our class, school and home communities (D5:SS: 2d).

As part of our Thanksgiving study, we ask each child to bring some fruit (no strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries please) to school on Wednesday, November 27th.  Each class will be preparing a Fruit Sharing Bowl in the spirit of remembering the Native Americans and Pilgrims sharing their bounty on the first Thanksgiving.
